Little Collingwood Street, Bethnal Green
Charles Booth's poverty survey lists the residents of this street in Bethnal Green as costermongers, fish-curers and thieves. Some of the children have bare feet, yet despite its slum status, Little Collingwood Street has an air of cheerful neighbourliness. John Galt 1900-1907. Copyright: Museum of London.
Little Collingwood Street appears on the Ordnance Survey map of 1873 as a street running between Collingwood Street and Duke Street and although it is unclear from the map it may have been a back alley with the houses fronting on to Collingwood Street or Duke Street (BE).
