Nordelph Holy Trinity
Nordelph parish was created from parts of several west Norfolk parishes including Downham Market, Denver & Upwell. The village sits at the junction of two important Fenland drains, Well Creek and Popham's Eau. The village is very much strip development on the banks of these two drains where the B1094 meets the A1122 approximately 4 miles south-west of Downham Market.
Holy Trinity is not the most attractive of Norfolk's churches these days. The basic box-like construction is more reminiscent of chapels rather than grand Anglican churches. The church has also suffered from the instability of the Fenland soil and is today (2010) sealed and closed as a dangerous building.
