    • Robert Enever came to Australia to seek his fortune in the gold mines, leaving behind his wife, two sons and a daughter. Not long after he arrived he received the sad news that his daughter (on 1861 census) had died. [Added: after viewing 1861 Census England - Harriet was 12yo and must be the first Harriet - named as Rainbird and was living her mother, and 2 brothers and her maternal grandparents Daniel and Mary Rainbird].
It was a long time before he had enough money to bring his family out here. They lived for some years near Stanley, before following the gold to Granite Flat in 1874.
By this time another four daughters were born.
He was a stone mason by trade, but found much call for a carpenter and builder, with five or six hundred miners all needing shelter. Much of the interior of the Catholic Church at Granite Flat is said to be his work.
The daugher who died in England was probably the Phyllis that Aunt Win spoke of [see above - the daughter who died must have been Harriet born 1849 - a later daughter also named Harriet, born 1863 in Yackandandah, Vic, Aust]. On looking at the Wilson Family, I cannot see where she could have fitted in anywhere.
